This is a very simple and easy to make recipe relished by one and all! Rice is cooked using a contemporary method, which accentuates to a great degree, the aroma, flavor, and the yellow appearance of rice. The uniqueness of this rice cuisine comes from its different flavor, equally appreciated by children and food lovers.
This rice can be a meal in itself, however goes well with other curries, making it unique in itself.
Ingredient for Flavoured Rice Yellow
Basmati Rice 4-5 Cups
Black Cardamom – 1-2 pods
Cinnamon Stick ½ Inch
Bay Leaves – 2 medium size
Salt to taste (1-2 teaspoon)
Oil – 1 tablespoon
Turmeric Powder ¼ teaspoon
Shahi Jeera – ½ teaspoon
Rose Water – 1 tablespoon
Pistachio Nuts Kernels – 8-10 (or more)
Freshly chopped Coriander Leaves
Method to cook Flavoured Rice Yellow
After washing Rice, leave it soaked in water for about 1-2 hours, this will help in making the rice fluffy and each grain would be separate
Ensure the water level is appropriate as per the marking on the Rice cooker, preferably 1-inch water layer about the rice.
Add salt to taste, now add all the ingredients, Rose Water, Turmeric powder, Black Cardamom, Cinnamon Stick, Pistachio, Shahi Jeera.
Now using a white rice cooker spatula, slowly try to mix so all the ingredients get mixed with the rice
Now add oil and give try to mix one more time with slow hands
Now we can place the lid and turn the Rice Cooker on cooking mode
When done, garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Rice can be served along with any curry or can be consumed by itself.
